Rumored Survivor Series main event

Dave Meltzer reported in today's daily update that current plans call for Raw's top champion to face SmackDown's top champion in a non-title match at November's dual-branded Survivor Series pay-per-view.

The match would be Brock Lesnar vs. Jinder Mahal, with neither the Universal nor WWE Championship on the line. What the card for Survivor Series looks like should be finalized in the coming weeks as both brands will begin building to the show.

That can't be right. This would be dumb even for them. Mahal is the weakest champion they've ever had. He was a jobber before he won the belt, and now he only retains due to interference from his two little buddies. If he was slightly competitive against Lesnar it would make Lesnar look like shit. But if Lesnar destroys him then it exposes Mahal even more and makes the WWE title look even more worthless.

In addition, there's not a single person on the planet who wants to pay money to see that match. I don't think that's an exaggeration. I genuinely doubt even one person wants to see this match.

I have a very low opinion of WWE these days, because they're idiots and their product sucks. But I still have my doubts about this one. But they often surprise me with how low they can sink.

Remember when Jack Swagger won the Heavyweight Title? Probably going back 6 or 7 years ago now.

I recall that he wrestled a total of 15 matches as champion, losing 13 of them by clean pinfall, and the 2 wins came by some sort of dirty finish. He then dropped the belt and disappeared into irrelevance.

Why do they put the belt on the likes of Mahal, Swagger and countless others and then deliberately make them look like shit? It's bizarre.

Wasn't Heath the leader of 3MB and the most over of all of them? He's better and more popular than Jinder and always has been. In the current context, Heath winning the Universal title in the next year is far from ridiculous. Which is itself ridiculous.
