I'm excited to see what he can do on Talking Smack, but I'm not entirely sure he's going to be great at it.
Owens is one of the great talkers in the company. One of the best of the best at the moment. But sometimes in less scripted backstage promos, his stuff doesn't quite work. He just tries too hard and ends up making everything feel awkward and throws everyone else off their game.
I thought he was kinda bad on this first Talking Smack. Now it was his first time out there, and as he's just moved to the show he didn't really have as much to talk about as he will later. So I'd still guess that he's going to do some killer stuff there later on. But it might take a bit for him to adjust to this format.
