Knowing WWE they'll simply allow script writers to throw in jibes against Paige touching on this video but it's hardly her fault it has been leaked. By whom I wonder? She was going out with Del Rio last I read. I don't know how valuable she is to the company as a performer but she seems high maintenance off it. Not enough to boot her out but enough to keep her and rip the mickey out of her.

Your two scenarios are completely different than this one. Both of your scenarios involve the actual act itself being something completely non-consensual. Paige was completely aware and willing to participate with the cameras the exhibitionist thrill of making those pictures and videos at least in part involves the knowledge of the possibility of other people seeing them, it's part of the excitement and danger for the people that choose to make such things. You can be mugged no matter what street you walk down, you can be raped no matter what precautions you take, they are in large part completely random occurrences that are just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Anyone that willing chooses to record anything in picture, video or writing regardless of nature is accepting of the part that they don't have total control of what will happen to those things.

You don't think it's perfectly reasonable that a consenting couple might want to record themselves or each other for personal use and not expect to wake up one morning to the humiliating realisation that they've been stolen, leaked and seen by millions the world over?

The crime has been committed by the hacker(s) who do this with nothing but malicious intent. Full responsibility lies with the one who committed the crime. Not the victim of one.

Here is the problem. You disagree with people making pornographic videos of themselves, leading you to believe that any injustice that happens to them in relation to that is partially their fault. It doesn't make any sense.

You can act like it isn't an apt comparison, but it absolutely fits. If a college teen gets piss-drunk at a frat party, that doesn't mean she "had it coming" in regards to sexual harassment or assault. What you are saying is no different than that. It is victim blaming.

In all likelihood (as in, 99.99%), the individuals involved made these videos so that they could enjoy them on their own time. That is probably why these videos were never released to the public until a hacker decided to do so. There is nothing wrong with what Paige, Woods, or Maddox did (albeit I don't understand the purpose of filming somebody filming you). It really is unfortunate.

I don't have a problem with people making pornography. I think there's irony in doing something that is blatantly coming from the fetish of exhibitionism and then being outraged when a person is exhibited.

The other factor is Paige isn't just another person. Celebrities and "normal people" have different lives and factors they deal with. Any normal person this is absolutely viewed differently than a celebrity who is very well compensated for their chasing of fame and becoming a household name. The other side of that fame is when you ask people to be very interested in what you do, funny thing they often become very interested in everything you do. The price for becoming a rich, famous celebrity that people are fascinated with is a loss to whatever degree of privacy that goes along with people being interested enough in you to watch you live your life on a reality TV show.

Yes if you are in be public eye then it's wise to be more careful but when it comes down to it celebrities, just like us, are only human and they can't be perfect all the time. If she was burgled no one would be claiming it was her fault (or partly her fault) for being rich and having nice things. Cyber hacking isn't really that different. Both are massive invasions of privacy, they both involve 'breaking in' to a place you're not entitled to be and both result in property being stolen and in this case shared in the most humiliating way.
