For those who have the Network, what do you watch besides the PPVs?

Postby KaiserGlider » Nov 04, '15, 3:58 pm

Every Smackdown from 2003 is now on the Network, so I've had lot of fun occasionally going back and re-watching some of the first wrestling shows I ever saw, back when wrestling was still really good. Jerry Springer's show is fun if you want to see some of the crazier moments of WWE. JBL's interview with Eric Bischoff's was also pretty good if I recall.

Do you guys watch stuff besides the PPVs? What's good?

I mostly watch the NXT Takeovers and sometimes NXT. I've been meaning to go back and start watching Nitro again though.

I do think this Table for 3 thing has promise, and there's some other stuff I might like to check out on there sometime. I just haven't had a lot of time to delve deeper with the Network as of late.

Well, I mostly watch it for going back and watching old RAW's and PPV's in chronological order, currently going back through 1999. It's fun going back and watching the old angles and shows and see how things were back then. I'll occasionally watch some other specials and NXT's if something catches my eye. It's how I saw the Table for 3 that had Cesaro, Ambrose and Owens on it. I went back and looked at other episodes and none of the pairing really made me want to watch. Every once in a while I'll watch a Stone Cold Podcast or something similar, but that's rare. Every once in a while I'll also log on just to see what they are showing live and might watch that for a while.

I watch all sorts of stuff on it. Besides the PPV's, the original content they're coming out with has gotten steadily better. Table for 3 is a lot of fun, Breaking Ground has gotten off to a solid start, the JBL interview thing was cool, and the Austin podcasts are worth a watch. Not to mention the Network special Live events and the NXT specials.

I like to watch the old stuff too. I started watching all the Attitude Era Raws in order starting the night after Mania 14 with the Austin title win. I like to jump around a bit too though. I just started watching some old Survivor Series events to get me hyped for this years, watching 92 right now. There's a bunch of stuff I want to watch still though, I want to chronologically go through the nWo Era Nitros at some point too. There's tons to watch I have a hard time fitting it all in :lol

I love the Network though, great idea and at that price point it's a lot of stuff.

The podcasts on there are not interesting at all to me. That's one thing I never bother with. There's so many quality wrestling podcasts online. Including Austin's, in fact. They're always going to be better than the WWE podcasts, because the restrictions aren't on them. On a WWE podcast, you know you're not going to get all that much insight, and nobody involved will be able to say all of what they really think.

I'll give you that, I still give them a watch though. Austin's haven't been as good after the big Vince one. Lesnar should have been really good but Brock isn't a big talker and quite frankly Brock doesn't give enough of a shit about wrestling to get into detail like Austin usually does.

I've watched quite a few of the older ECW PPV's and gone back to watch a lot of WCW Nitro's, because I wasn't a big WCW fan when I started watching wrestling. I also like a lot of the documentaries.

The original content has gotten very good as well. Breaking Ground is the type of thing I've been dying for them to do for years. I'd love for them to do a similar series about the WWE Production team, although I can't imagine there would be as many people interested in that as I am.

Table for 3 is pretty good. There are some interesting combinations I think they could have on it. Cesaro, Owens and Ambrose was a good episode. The documentaries are mostly good too.
